The State of California - Resources

California State - Resources

Here is a useful resource I found for the state of California (and you can find resources for all the states there as well).

Capitol Impact Government Gateway - California - be sure when you type in the city name to search, that you click the word "BY NAME."  I kept clicking FIND and nothing happened. But that is apparenlty ONLY for the population search. When I typed in Roseville and clicked BY NAME, I got -

Roseville - Placer [County} 71,609 [population] and a link to the city's website

FYI - The county and link info were good. The population figure is definitely old. Roseville's website shows "Roseville California's population for January 1, 2014 is estimated to be 126,956. Roseville's population for January 1, 2013 was 124,673."

Granite Bay - shows "Granite Bay - Placer [County], 0 [population] - obviously, this population county is definitely off! Wikipedia lists the info for Granite Bay, CA as "The population was 20,402 at the 2010 census, up from 19,388 at the 2000 census. The ZIP code is 95746."

As you can see, it is handy, but use it with a big grain of salt.
